The Akita - Other dogs - Hunting behaviour


Those looking for a dog, which is compatible with every other dog and which you freely can run without problems on a dog's Meadow, should choose not necessarily an Akita. The Akita has a high individual distance and many Akita not more like to play with other dogs, if they which have outgrown puppies and young dogs age.

When Akita learned communication with their fellows of the puppy age and - how often to watch - more from other dogs fern-and sport be kept, can it cause problems.

Especially the males try to dominate their same-sex others. Females are usually easier in dealing with other dogs, but with them it comes them crucial to, whether and how many positive contacts from small on other dogs allows be.

The Akita was originally bred as a hunting dog in Japan. He has kept this heritage. The vast majority of the Akita has a medium to strong hunting drive, which is to control only through a consistent education and a strong commitment to his people.
